Introducing the Page Turner Scale: A New Way to Rate Books You’ll Actually Enjoy:

Hey everyone!
I haven’t posted in a while, and I wanted to share something I came up with the other day. The Page Turner Scale is a unique rating system (created by yours truly) designed to describe my reviewed books. This scale covers many of the aspects I try to mention when recommending a book. Below, I’ll lay out the format and explain each part so that, hopefully, my reviews will make more sense to you.

Just a quick note: my reviews are subjective and represent my personal opinion. It’s not meant as a personal critique of the author or anyone who loves the book—just my take on it, to help others decide if it’s something they might enjoy too.

  • Controversies (if any): It will be a brief overview of any controversies, personal background, or notable aspects of the author’s career that might influence the reader’s perception of the book.

Star Ratings

  • Overall Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
  • Spice Rating: ★★★☆☆ (For romance, steaminess, or mature content)
  • Impact: ★★★★☆ (How much the book resonated with me, how thought-provoking it was, or its significance in the genre)

Disclaimers

  • Trigger Warnings: It’s a list of any sensitive topics covered (e.g., abuse, violence, addiction, etc.)
  • Note on Language or Content: If needed, I’ll note if the book contains offensive language or explicit content that might not suit all readers.

I’ll provide a brief summary of the plot (mostly) without spoilers.
